My Best Mother's Day Present

My little peanut 60 pound daughter was born 10 years ago today on Mother's Day. My best present ever.

Here's her cake she chose...one of my favorites too. Toffee Brownie Trifle on page 118 of my Check Plus for the Fatherless cookbooks. Get your cookbook from my friend at A Pure Religion and help her bring her daughter home from China this month.

Special Dessert

Look what I made for Independence Day!  It was so delicious.  I found the recipe here at Lynn's Kitchen Adventures.  Each layer had to set for 1-2 hours so I just set my timer to help me stay on track and get it done.  It was very easy and the middle, white layer will surprise you with it's ingredients.  It was the mystery that none of my family could guess.  I highly recommend it.  I bet you could change up the colors of jello and fruit to match to go with any special occasion.
